Does it work with any electric gate / barrier / shutter?
Yes. All electric gates / barriers / shutters have a button that is used to open them. GSM Mobile Gate Opener has a relay whose contact has to be connected to the opening button. Actually it pushes the button in your place.

Does it cost me anything to operate?
GSM Mobile Gate Opener doesn't actually answer the call, it simply checks the caller ID. Your network must send the caller ID otherwise GSM Mobile Gate Opener won't work. Usually operators don't charge until you answer the call, so it won't cost you anything to open the gate / barrier / shutter with GSM Mobile Gate Opener. Of course you need to have an active SIM inside it, and this may have a monthly fee regardless of the calls. Check your local operators for these details.

What is the maximum working distance?
GSM Mobile Gate Opener doesn't have limitations like a normal remote control. Using a mobile phone you can open from anywhere on the globe, whether at the end of your garden to let relatives in or, even from another city or country!

It is really convenient to arrive in front of your house when the gate / barrier / shutter is already open to drive straight in without having to wait in the middle of the road potentially causing and accident.

How can I enable different phone numbers to open my gate?
To store a number, you simply send an SMS, that starts with a password, to GSM Mobile Gate Opener  indicating the phone number to enable, and its position in the list. Numbers are stored in GSM Mobile Gate Opener memory and not on the SIM. This prevents somebody from removing the SIM to copy all the numbers into a mobile phone. Only the one who knows the password can insert or delete enabled phone numbers.

Can I allow to let anyone in with the number?
If you do not need to screen users with the caller ID and just simply wish to let anyone in with the right phone number then this is also possible. The unit has two modes of operation, 'anyone calling' or 'match the caller ID' of the caller which is easily configured via SMS text messages.

How many different phones can open my gate?
GSM Mobile Gate Opener accepts up to 64 full numbers It is also possible to use '?' (interrogation mark) as special characters. Entering 07831 12345? will give access to any number from 07831 123450 to 07831 123459. This means that accepted numbers can be more than 64.

It is also possible to open the gate / barrier / shutter to any caller who has the number, although we don't recommend this option changing the number should it get into the wrong hands is as simple as changing the SIM card and re-issuing the new phone number.

What else do I need besides GSM Mobile Gate Opener?
You need only a valid SIM card. Install GSM Mobile Gate Opener, insert SIM, program the numbers and you are ready to go.

Is it difficult to install?
You need to connect the 2 wires that come out of the box in parallel with the Gate push button. Connect it to power supply within your existing gate / barrier / shutter system, insert SIM card and start programming numbers (12 numbers can be programmed with only one SMS). Installing GSM Mobile Gate Opener is simple for anybody with enough technical skills. Otherwise you should find a qualified electrician to do the job.

What is the warranty and delivery time?
